About
I'm a sophomore at UCLA, double-majoring in Computer Science and Physics — I started as a Physics major and added CS as a second major partway through. I'm currently taking the Physics 115A–115C quantum mechanics sequence, and quantum computing is the direction I'm most drawn to for the future.
My technical background started in competitive programming: years of algorithmic problem-solving in C++, capped off by passing USACO Gold in 2024. That background is what let me pick up systems-level game development from scratch — I hadn't touched Unreal Engine or 3D tooling before starting my current solo project, but the problem-solving muscle transferred directly.
Right now I also work in a university thermal/fluid dynamics lab, researching cooling systems for data centers — an area that sits right at the intersection of physics and the kind of infrastructure the entire software industry increasingly depends on. I'm still deciding whether this becomes a long-term specialization or stays one thread among several.
Outside of coursework and projects, I'm a hobbyist mechanic — I work on Mazda 13B rotary engines — and I've been getting into laser cutting for small fabrication projects. I run a mixed Windows/Linux setup at home, which is as much a hobby as anything else.
